Position Title Research Assistant III
Position Summary:

This position is available for a person with training in behavioral techniques to join a multidisciplinary effort to study the neuro-biological and neuro-immunological bases of drug addiction. The project will involve behavioral methods such as drug self-administration among others, and neurochemical techniques.

Will assist in designing experiments, may supervise or provide work direction and training to a small staff of professional-level employees and perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or assigned.

This position involves small laboratory animal handling.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been attained. Requires a minimum of 5 years experience. Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 3+ years experience required.
Must be highly motivated, able to work semi-independently, and have a strong background in behavioral neuroscience.
