Position Title Research Technician
Position Summary:

This position is in the Automated Synthesis Facility, a core facility that primarily supports the Department of Chemistry. The technician will be responsible for routine maintenance and operation of HPLC (analytical and preparative), LC-MS, SFC, TLC-MS, and automated solid dispense systems. Routine operation includes running submitted samples and writing automated processing and reporting methods. The technician will interface directly with scientists in multiple research groups and manage and track instrument use.

This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience. Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
Experience with HPLC, SFC, and/or Mass Spec.

Compensation: $16.68- 20.41 per hour
